The following is a study of fuel injector and intake valve deposits and the ability of AMSOIL P.I.® Performance Improver to help clean up these deposits which reduce the regular performance of the vehicle. At the current time (3/28/22) the link in the Performance Tests Archive is not working so I’ve included this study for now. Since this study was done many manufacturers have gone to GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engines which has created its own set of problems. (As indicated in the study.) Because of the change AMSOIL reformulated PI to work even better in harsh environment inside the combustion chamber where the injectors are now located. When a new study is completed I will update with a link to the new study.
